Married to Edna Ethel. Brother Leonard still alive 2004.

Brother recalls that he was beaten regularly. On one occasion he was caned for climbing onto school roof to collect tennis balls.

Ship hit mine in Tobruk Harbour Thursday 20th February 1941. There were some survivors but E Abrey was lost at sea. Age: 25.
